The CMG hosts over 300 departmental and university seminars and events annually.  CMG is centrally located on UCSD's School of Medicine campus, offering a state-of-the-art meeting facility with an adjacent reception area, an ideal venue for campus meetings and seminars.  Use of the facility is limited to UCSD-related events, specifically basic science and biomedical research, and to Biotechnology affiliates.

The main auditorium has the capacity for 100 people, and the smaller conference room seats 12.
